Welcome to Bili Kids

We are a boutique, 3-room centre located in Bilambil Heights, nestled amongst the beautiful, natural surroundings of the Tweed Valley. Bili Kids has a unique and dedicated focus on early learning in our large outdoor natural environment. Being family-owned and operated, Bili Kids offers personalised and tailored care to all of our children with a strong focus on building close relationships with our children and families and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all. We can’t wait to meet you and to begin the exciting first early learning steps together.

We are a local family, with close to 15 years experience in owning and operating child care centres and we pride ourselves on providing the very best child care in a non-corporate but professional environment. As a family run centre we can focus directly on the very important issues that face our children and families and local community.

We have a fabulous core group of long-term dedicated Educators at Bili Kids and 2 wonderful Co-Directors committed to making our children and their families as happy as possible. Our Educators work closely with families to understand each child’s unique needs and preferences, and to ensure that the child’s individual needs are met.

The Farm

In addition to our wonderful outdoor learning spaces we also have our dedicated children’s produce and animal farm. The Farm @ Bili Kids is a fully enclosed farm for all of Bili Kid’s children to be involved with on a daily basis. It includes raised and earth level produce garden beds, free range chickens, an orchard, a native bee hive, a worm farm and composting and also our lovely cuddly bunnies.

Sports & Wellbeing

We love giving our children at Bili Kids the opportunity to engage in a wide range of activities to foster their interest and learning in new areas. We also believe in inclusion for all our of children. As such, we provide all of our activities, events and regular extracurricular programs to all children at no extra cost to families.

What we do

Community & Cultural Program

Bili Kid’s indigenous cultural program is a unique and enriching offering that provides children with an opportunity to learn and appreciate the culture and traditions of indigenous communities. In addition to weekly indigenous cultural sessions, our Educators start each day with a welcome to country on the Farm, allowing children to recognise the traditional custodians of our land from a very early age.

I find everyone so easy to deal with too. The rooms themselves and outdoor areas, including the ‘farm’ are inviting and provide great opportunities for the kids to learn and play. We don’t have any family here so I feel incredibly grateful for all the love and support I get from the girls at Bili kids, I don’t know what I would do without them! My 2 little boys love going there, it has become a second home for them and they are always having fun while learning new things. I love that it’s not on a main road and feels tucked away, there is so much room for the kids to play and the farm is incredible!! My 5 year old, and 2 year old have both attended Bilikids, and it was an excellent start to learning and greatly assisted the development of social skills and independence in the 5 year old especially. She is now in Kindergarten, and has settled in so well I believe due to the experiences she had at Bilikids. Our 2 year old is currently in the Boodabees Room, and she particularly loves going to the farm, the beautiful new outdoor play area, and the sports activities on a Tuesday. The educators are the most patient, kind and caring people and always have a smile and cuddle for the children. We have loved our experience with Bilikids and their beautiful educators :)

We started at Bili Kids two months ago and have been very impressed by the quality of educators and the love and care given to our child. It was a big decision for us and we are so happy that we chose Bili Kids. They have excellent communication and every day we know how our child has been. We absolutely loved Bili Kids and we know that our kids did too! They made so many wonderful friends in such a safe and supportive environment. The staff are so loving and caring, and formed such lovely connections with not only the children, but their families too. Bili Kids provided our kids with incredible  learning opportunities, creative activities and endless play, while nurturing each child's individuality and teaching them about the world around them. Apart from the amazing educators, one of the best things about Bili Kids is the farm.. our kids loved exploring this area, playing in the dirt, helping with planting, watering and maintaining the plants. They loved helping with the chickens and bunnies, and learnt so much about nature, teamwork, food, environmental conservation and sustainability along the way. We had looked at other centres in our area, but we just weren’t feeling like ‘this is the one’. However once we walked into Bili Kids, we instantly knew this was the place for us =). The centre has an extremely homely feel with a focus on natural/wooden/sustainable elements that makes it feel cozy and welcoming. The centre has three dedicated rooms that cater to the developmental needs of each age group. The outdoor space is inviting and open ended, allowing endless opportunities for exploring and play. A draw card for us was that Bili Kids has a unique farming opportunity attached to the outside play area. My daughter was so excited to be able to play with the chickens and bunnies, be able to plant, water and harvest produce, be able to collect eggs from the chickens, and just be able to have the opportunity to participate in something that she wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to. Bili Kids have an amazing staff of educators who my daughter fell absolutely in love with and still talks about them constantly and keeps asking to go back to ‘little school’ as she graduated at the end of last year. She developed such strong connections with her educators as they always made her (and I) feel supported, connected and apart of their ‘Bili Kids Family’. We will miss our time at Bili Kids and would highly recommend this centre to anyone that is looking for that special place to send their child. It was the best decision that we have ever made, and it has established strong learning foundations for my daughter as she continues her learning journey at ‘big school’ now. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
